Hi everybody,

I am still in Bulgaria for personal reasons. I continue to spend my time here between Sofia and my hometown of Gabrovo. This past Sunday I climbed Cherni Vrah peak on Vitosha mountain again. The weather wasn’t that friendly like my previous time. I was with my godmother Valentina and my godfather Krasimir Demirevi both of them track and field Bulgarian legends.

Cherni Vrah

From this Monday I have been very busy as I continue to work on my 5 year project, and I think that in these 4 days I have accomplished a lot of work. So finally I can announce the good news:

Football Performance Research Group has now become a reality.

I just had a conversation with Anton discussing the details of my new project. After 5 years of researching in the field of football strength and conditioning performance we founded the Football Performance Research Group (FPRG). Right now the research group will concentrate on building the software for the control and analysis of the strength and conditioning components in women’s football. The Software is based on the data I have collected over the 5 years of work in the USA dealing with hundreds of American and over 50 of international female players, most of them members of their respective national teams. The unique battery of twelve tests covers every physical component and is different for each playing position on the field. We focus on the purely statistical analysis of tests based on the point system. The point system allows the software to compare different metric units, different test dimensions, and can demonstrate the current performance with graphics and pictures. Also an advantage of the software is that you can get the picture of the whole team or split it to field units or analyze a single player and compare with the current or past data.

After finalizing all the details, we plan to demonstrate our product to the football market. WFC “Zvezda 2005” Perm will be the first women’s team analyzed by the new software.

Congratulations to my partners LTA Agency – the leading representation agency in women’s football, Ivan Popov and Stanimir Stoianov – SAP and Database administrators working for the largest software company in Bulgaria.
